Josh Brolin on the way to Rehab for Substance Abuse

Less than 3 weeks after stating he was done drinking for good, Josh Brolin is checking into rehab.

The news comes after a string of drunken incidents that sent him into the spotlight earlier this month. Brolin, 45, checked into a rehab facility in Northern California.

Brolin Out of Control: A Timeline

At the beginning of this month, the Gangster Squad star’s name was in the tabloids after two embarrassing incidents.

November 2-4

Brolin was caught on tape in a drunken fistfight after the bar he was at on Saturday closed around 2 a.m. The fight came to an end with Brolin and the unidentified man embracing in a hug, but the video still brought negative attention to him.

He apparently had a rough weekend. Brolin reportedly got into a verbal fight with a cab driver at a Los Angeles Del Taco drive-thru.

He Claims He’s Done

On Monday following his interesting weekend, Brolin admitted regret for the fights and drunken behavior. He told TMZ that he was done drinking for good. Now that he’s heading to rehab, it seems that he couldn’t quit without some help. We’re glad he’s finding the help he needs to recover.

Bad Timing for Brolin’s Rehab Stay

With his next movie being released next week, it seems that Brolin’s timing isn’t convenient. “Oldboy”, Spike Lee’s latest film, is set to release November 27.

Will Brolin step out on the red carpet? We’re guessing he’ll be absent from the promotional events and premiere, but we’re unsure how this may affect the buzz around the movie.

Josh Brolin seems to be off and on. I know he’s been in the news before, but in most cases it’s never bad publicity.

Mr. Brolin really needs to get this under control before he really does do something regrettable.
