DMX Arrested Again

Earl Simmons, better known as DMX, got caught behind the wheel earlier this week. The rapper was arrested on Monday after South Carolina police recognized him at the airport. He wasn’t drunk behind the wheel, but he definitely should not have been in the driver’s seat.

The notorious rapper was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and having no car tag or insurance. Officials, who must have been aware of his record, noticed him drive up to the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. After questioning he was off to jail…for three hours.

The $1335 bail was posted shortly after his arrival at the jail.

Not his first time locked up

DMX was not questioned simply because of his recognizable face. South Carolina officers were on alert — Simmons was charged with possession of marijuana in August. That arrest came two days before he was due in court for a different charge. That charge was for drunk driving. In July, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and failing to have a valid driver’s license.

Those recent charges are just a fraction of his experience with law enforcement. Simmons has had several felony convictions and even served time at the big house in Arizona. He’s been arrested for weapons possession charges, animal cruelty, several counts of drug possession and assault, among other charges.

Simmons released new albums for the better part of a decade between 1996 and 2006. He continues to tour and perform, even planning to perform this week. His acting career includes a handful of roles in movies like Romeo Must Die and Last Hour.

What’s next for DMX?

We don’t know how DMX will handle his most recent arrest. We do know that his habits seem to be set and he probably won’t go long before meeting legal officials.

DMX is still touring and performing? I thought his days as a performer were long gone. Apparently he thought the the laws of driving don’t apply to him.

At least he wasn’t drunk, right? Maybe DMX had a stroke of bad luck that night or maybe he should try carrying his license with him, tag his car and possibly get some insurance?

I was just reading a story about Mr. Simmons, apparently he believes that licenses used to drive aren’t too important.

It’s really sad that he has the attitude he does. He acts like he deserves everything.

He’s been in trouble this entire year, and he never seems to get the picture.

If Earl Simmons doesn’t get his head in a better place he may end up spending much more time in those cells than he wants too.

When did DMX decide that his lifestyle was a great choice? He seems to cause nothing but trouble lately.

It’s too bad he feels entitled to act this way. He’s been in trouble before and I’d bet it happens again.

DMX was once a very good entertainer, and starred in a couple blockbuster movies. The fame must have distorted his perception that laws don’t abide to him.

Really hoping that he gets back on his feet. He’s been in trouble quite a bit recently, and it’s sad to see entertainers go through these problems.

I would think with everything going on in his life with the law, driving would be the last thing he wants to do but that doesn’t seem so.

DMX used to be the man! Hopefully his slowly fizzling rap career isn’t causing him to make these kinds of irresponsible decisions. He should just take a step back and realize that getting out of the game now wouldn’t be such a bad thing, after all.

I guess considering what other rappers in the industry are getting thrown in jail for, having an expired license is pretty tame.

I don’t know why stars seem to think they are above the law? At some point he is going to get whats coming to him and hes not going to be a happy camper.
